Distribution question
Just curious, maybe some of the veterans here may know.
But why does the US seem to be behind other markets (namely the UK) when it comes to Rolex distributing new releases? Seems odd, given how large of a share the US has of the Swiss luxary watch market.

Who said the US is ‘behind’ in the new releases?
I know of at least a handful of 18 releases on people’s wrists - that I personally know — including a cpl Stainless BLROs. Just because it’s not on the forum as an incoming or all over social media doesn’t mean it isn’t happening... Just my .02 Happy Friday! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Distribution question
Sounds like a good TRF Summer Intern project. Steve - do you have a few lazing around the TRF server farm with little to do?
Sort through all the Basel 2018 incoming model posts and pinpoint buyer’s home country. Create a pie chart...Mmmmm...pie! Sorry, couldn’t help it. I think our personal perceptions are formed by reading a few incoming posts and noticing where the member lives. That perception isn’t data-driven, though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I know my AD delivered their first BLRO the first week the incomings began posting here. Anecdotally, I think they're doing as fine as any dealer is in the current climate.

Interesting. I was basically going off the "incoming" BLRO threads, which seem to be all from UK members. Guess our US members are just shy.

Maybe they all leave he factory about the same time, but obviously logistics to the UK mean they land there first.
Probably the same for the rest of Europe too, but as they don't share a common language, we don't necessarily hear about it. |
