Hi All, I am thinking about PP 5167A or AP 15400 for a while, but could get to a decision

. Hoping to get some feedback from fellow members who have owned both or one and share their experience.

id lean more to the 15400 as im more a fan of ss bracelet over rubber, plus you can get a 15400 for less than the 5167.

I have owned both, and have sold both, the 15400 has a lovely bracelet, but is large and dings easily in my opinion and I baby my watches, you need a huge wrist not to knock it. The Aquanaut dial is mesmerising but the rotor sound always drove me nuts.

If I was to have kept one it would have been the Patek.

Have spent a lot of time with a 5167 and 5164. 5167 is a bit too plain for me and the RO bracelet is to die for...now it it was the 64...

I don't own the AP 15400 but I do own the PP 5167 and the AP 15300. Really your two options couldn't be much different. I think if you were able to compare both in person or even if you had the ability to see both in person by themselves you would know what I mean.

The PP 5167 is easily the lightest smallest wearing 40mm watch that I know of. Very little if any wrist presence but extremely appealing with regards to how the whole package goes so well together. Nice simple black dial watch with a little bit more going for it. You hardly even notice your wearing a watch at all until you decide to stare at it. It wears like butter.

The AP on the other hand will wear much larger but then almost any watch would when compared to the PP 5167. It will be more of a ding magnet but then again this is because it has more presence and it's a larger watch and much more angular.

Whether you choose one or the other they both have a lot going for each with very appealing designs and extremely nice details. Neither have the history component of the PP 5711 or AP 15202 but still in their own right very nice watches but I would highly recommend checking both out in person as this probably would be enough for you to decide better on your own which works best for you. It's still possible after doing so you might still be conflicted but you would certainly know first hand what the differences are as it's very easy to tell in person.

15400 is a better value but I liked the 5167 better overall. If you have an 8" wrist then I would probably go 15400 hands down. I don't.

Own the 5167 and currently on the RO 25860, have owned the 15400 as well.

Very different, RO is a better all rounder. The 5167 is spotier.

If I could one keep one it would be the 5167, under the radar and less common.

I went through this same dilemma recently and also included the 15202, 5711, and 116500 to the debate. Well, I couldn't get a 116500 nor a 5711, so it came down to 15202, 15400, or 5167. I didn't care for the premium on the 15202 and didn't like that it lacked a seconds hand, screw down crown and quick set date. I REALLY loved the 5167 on the rubber strap, but the attitude I got from Patek dealers when I tried to see a 5167 or 5711 really put me off. I mean how cool do I have to be to buy a watch for $20k? I've also read bad things about service wait times for PP and mostly good things about AP service.
Alll around the 15400 better fit my style and I'm very happy with my choice, but if I had enough money I'd add the 5167 next
