One of my favorites Tatuaje El Triunfador. An underrated and somewhat unknown boxed pressed beauty from Pepin.

Lol, not yet...on the short list for next ride. Trying to motivate myself by seeing it regularly.

It has been in the 40's for awhile now. Not too bad. From the sounds of it, much better than what has been happening by you.

Must try Cuban cigars besides Cohiba and Montecristo?

In two months I am taking a cruise in the Caribbean, and would like to sample some cigars from Cuba. I already have Montecristo #2s and various Cobhiba cigars at home. Can members suggest any cigars worth buying? With members help, I have found many cigars outside of Cuba that appear as good or better, but since I will have the opportunity, I might as well sample some current offerings.

Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure line is my favorite Cuban. Any of the old school names have great cigars. Bolivar is one that is less common and very good. Punch and Trinity as well.

Enjoy the trip and post some pics!

Celebrating a little payout from the Falcons win

Picked up a box of these a few weeks ago and left them to age a little bit.

My Father El Centurion on a recommendation from Kevin.

Typical Pepin cigar with perfect draw and burn. A little boxed pressed Cuban Corona size which is my favorite. This is a fabulous cigar with notes of cocoa and cedar. Very reasonably priced too.

Is it just me or do Pepin cigars burn and draw consistently better than others ?

Be very careful, as the ports of call for cruise ships are full of fake Cuban Cigars!
The peddlers see $$ as you all walk off the ship. If it is a glass top box, it is fake, no ifs, ands, or buts.

La Casa del Habano is a dealer of legitimate Cuban cigars. They are located throughout the Caribbean. If you go there you won't believe how much of a selection they have. That is where I would go trying to avoid fakes.

Yes this is the ONLY place to get the real deal. But be prepared to pay tourist prices!
