Mac OSX El Capitan Update . . .

I was just doing the upgrade and noticed that it was only 826 MB

Where are the days when I bought my brand new Sinclair ZX-81 with 1 kB on board and the 16 kB extension memory block . . .

I still mentally measure the size of downloads by how many "high density" diskettes it would take. Your update would take 400 of these.

It's funny to think that each of our Cell phones is more powerful than a room full of computers in the 1990s

Those days are gone as are the days of CRTs and OysterQuartz.
Please pass the Cheesy Poof TerraBytes, I'm famished

It's absolutely crazy, isn't it?

I was at my parent's house for the 4th of July. They never throw anything away as long as it's working. Tucked away in the basement, they have an old IBM PC that runs Windows 3.1 with a 33mhz processor and a whopping 80mb hard drive! I still remember when it was new. My friends were so impressed how fast the 14.4k modem was.

Do you think tech can advance by as much in the next 20 or so years?

There is a new hard drive the size of a postage stamp that has enough capacity to hold every book in the world ever written.

That was the news on the radio this morning. Mind blowing!!!

absolutely insane how much it has progressed. It has slowed down a bit, but who knows where the world will be in 100 years.
