Of course, sad news. But it is inevitable that all our remaining elder astronauts will be taking that one last ride. What would be sadder is if we never build a lasting memorial in our nation' capital to the brave souls who took us into space. At lease a memorial more fitting than the debacle at the JFK Space Center...

NO WAY! I really hoped he would get to see his A17 landing site through the eyes of the Audi Lunar Quattro Moon Rover in couple of months time, because thats where it's headed, to film the old landing site.
I got his autograph many years ago when I worked at the Cape. RIP Mr Cernan. You inspired a lot of people and achieved incredible things. |
