I couldnt agree more, unfortunate. Ive always had a hard time selling my hublot watches, probably due to lack of interest among collectors/customers. I thought the trend would change along with the world cup, but i guess i was wrong. Theres no problem getting them sold, not at all. The problem is pricing the watch and finding a customer willing to open his/her wallet. Ive always sold my watches way below market value. I have another one for sale, hopefully with a better outcome than my previous.
I am a AP owner aswell, i would say their watches overall plays in a different league when it comes down to material, reputation and exclusivness. Another important note - Hublot are not in-house. Hope i wont scare off my potential buyers now |

I don't mind Hublot. I've owned a couple ss and rg versions. I think they look great, have a great strap and deployant. I feel they're a little "fashion" oriented...like if a girl who wears Michael Kors won the lotto they'd buy one of these.....also I feel the movements on affordable pieces are no better than a 7750..which is silly for the cost. I think they historically are more boring and not haute horologerie...i mean they launched the big bang as a cheap quartz watch on rubber....
in addition the new movements (like laferrari, the world cup watch, ect) aren't special for me like a real grand complication from Patek or AP.... What else...i think they copy designs....they now have a piece that looks like a Richard Mille...I mean come one. WTF. They didn't copy genta's OG royal oak but they did copy the offshore IMHO... and they sell hornbacks now? do they have no honor? ......what else....the name is silly to me.... hmmmmmmmmmm......idk just prefer AP more. But if you like hublot buy hublot. I don't care. To each there own....i love the omega 2254.50 after all.....haha |

The absolute one thing that makes me want to run is the misaligned screws. I get anxious looking at them. AP for me

Lots of heated opinions here which make for an interesting read :)
Perhaps 10yrs down the road, hublot might overtake AP - who knows (sheath the pitchforks please) To each his own, but hublot has not heritage, very little collectibility. I rather own a Casio.
