Datejust losing time

I purchased my DJ at an AD while on a cruise last spring. It kept amazing time until about a month ago. I don't know why it is now losing 20+ seconds per day. My wearing pattern hasn't changed. I wear it all day everyday except in the shower and on daily runs. Should I contact Rolex or a local dealer to get this addressed? The AD was in St. Thomas and when I had a question about the warranty card they never responded. I had to come here to get my answer.

Thank you.

Possibly a simple fix, might be magnatized. Happens to my watches every now and then also. If you go to amazon you will see a demagnetizer for $15-$20. The best tool to own for all of us watch guys.

It's not magnetized.
Semi-common problem. See my posts in the linked threads. I"m sure I responded.

Usually a magnetized watch runs very very fast. like + several minutes a day.

Word of advice about demagnetizing watches: don't do it yourself. it's a simple problem with a simple fix, but diagnosing it is actually harder than it seems. You can throw it on a timegrapher if you have one and see in 2 seconds if it's magnetized. Thing is, if you run a watch through a demagnetizer, but it wasn't actually magnetized, you just magnetized your watch and now you have two problems. If I thought my watch was magnetized, I'd bring it in to my watchmaker. He'd see in 30 seconds that it was magnetized, demagnetize it in another 30 seconds, and probably charge me a few bucks for his time.

My new dj41 was running perfect for a few months before suddenly starting to lose 35-40 seconds per day. Long story short, the AD has their own ASC. Throw in a covid delay, then the head tech called to say the watch was ready. Turns out, he regulated the watch and it's now running great! (losing about 1 sec every 2-3 days) Picking it up was big fun. The tech let me in the back door of the center and showed me on a large explosion diagram poster of the movement what he had done. Very cool experience. Below are the before and after readouts from the service center.

Good luck!
