San Diego pre-owned Rolex dealers

I did some driving around when looking for my wife's Rolex. Here are some San Diego stores that carry a limited stock of used Rolexes, usually 1-2 dozen.

Royal Maui in Fashion Valley Mall
http://www.royalmauijewelers.com/
- Probably the best selection
- Watches in excellent condition
- They are also an AD

Tourneau in Fashion Valley Mall
http://www.tourneau.com/
- Also decent selection
- Watches in excellent condition
- Official dealer of many good brands, but not Rolex at this location

Unicorn Jewelry in Rancho Bernardo
http://www.unicornjewelry.com/
- Watches tend to be polished, or older models
- Will deal on price
- Official dealer of other nice brands
- Great place for jewelry!

Diamond Boutique in Del Mar
http://www.diamondboutiqueonline.com/
- Not watch experts, do not know model numbers etc

Gold Center in Del Mar
1436 Camino Del Mar
Del Mar, CA 92014

- Watches tend to be in good condition

Leo Hamel
http://www.leohamel.com
1851 San Diego Avenue
San Diego, CA 92110

- Watches in good condition

Among all these you're unlikely to find your dream watch, but at least you can browse around if you're leery of shopping online. Prices tend to be ~50% down from MSRP of the newest models.

Great info! Thanks for sharing! I'm frequently in SD and have not had a chance to browse any watch stores.

Hey AMH,

Fellow San Diegan here.... Over the last few months I went to 3 of the 6 places you listed. I found them to be very overpriced for what was being offered. I was able to pick up a BNIB 116610LN from a trusted TRF member for less than some stores wanted for a pre-owned 16610.

Maybe it depends on the watch and how you haggle with the store BUT I think the for sale section on TRF is a much better deal. Just my humble opinion.

You are quite correct. It was not my intent to steer people one way or another. Some people like brick & mortar stores, that is all.

I agree sir!

Some people like the comfort of a face to face transaction or buying new from an AD. I found that the sales people at Royal Maui were very kind. I also had a great expericent at Bert Levi at Horton Plaza.

San Diego pre-owned Rolex dealers

I don't know about unicorn jewelry. I used to live near them and dropped in a couple times.

On one occasion I saw them showing a modded Rolex datejust with an aftermarket diamond bezel and another with after market MOP dial. They seem to mod stuff and switch out non Rolex parts there without telling the customers. I never went back. YMMV.

I recommend the San Diego Jewelry Exchange on the Gaslamp. Their prices rival the trusted sellers here, and they have plenty of places to choose from.

I'm not affiliated with anyone there, I just buy all jewelery for my wife from there. Also if you're for a certified watchmaker for Rolex service, I highly recommend Tom Doan at D's Time Service (located in the same building). Great pricing and outstanding service.

Roger that. Tony is awesome...travel a bit north and you got Patrick (ocrolexguy) as well. These guys are my favorite trusted sellers from TRF due to being local and just ridiculously awesome guys in general. Would recommend without a doubt.

Since we're on the topic of San Diego and watches (surprise), is anyone here interested in a G2G? I myself have never been to one with fellow WIS', but would love to meet others who are interested.

I'd be up for it. I live downtown and I'm sure we could find a bar down here that has a private room or something where folks might be comfortable bringing a few valuable pieces and not feel weird having them out in a public place like that. We'd probably have to get a dozen people or so to make that happen.

All you need is Tony when in SanDiego. He probably has much more variety than all those stores combined.
