Early Tudor 79090 Old Enough For Patina?

Anyone have any of their 79090 begin to start showing signs of age yet?

Faded bezels, discoloring of the "maxi" dial lume, hands and etc.

It would be more surprising if they don't show yellowing of the tritium.

The majority I've seen on Instagram and a quick Google search shows an eggshell tint on the lume.

I'm hoping this thread can become a melting pot for aging 79090's with gorgeous patina.

My 75090 (mid size; black bezel-dial) is not showing any signs yet.

Not sure my 1989 Blue is showing much patina yet , in fact I think the dial , hands & insert look as new as when it was made some days .The only sign of ageing is that it definitely doesn't have any Lume left on it now , not even a faint glow .

My wife wears one that had a hard life. The plots have discolouration. I also have a 75090 that was rarely worn. No patina at all. I like them when they are messed up a bit.

Mine has a slight eggshell tint to the lume. Is anyone's tritium still glowing? Mine has a faint glow where if I focus enough, I can read the time in the dark. Serial dates it at 1990.

I came across this 79090, manufactured in 1992 according to @kictoc on Instagram.

Light cream here- 1993 production, bought in 1995. I've seen some 79090s with darker patinas and some with none at all.

My 1991 blue 79090 has a faded bezel and eggshell patina on the lume.

Same. I'm wondering if the watch will ever achieve those dark pumpkin yellow/orange patina... or will it just fade into a warm yellow?

I have a 1992 79090 in mint condition. It's an amazing watch and as good as any of my Rolex's . Personally I prefer the bigger case but that's personal choice. I can only suggest that the life of the watch and what it is put through will determine the condition and patina of any watch and that if your watch is kept in a box it will of course remain new forever.
Sounds like it's had a proper life.
