Would you wear your Rolex to a Junkyard?

I certainly would....

Maybe to the yard, but sure as hell not while wrenching on drum brakes.

Yes, and to the ferrous metal recyclers (Tube City, today), the steel mill (USS, yesterday) and every place else I'm at everyday.

I even wear one of them while cracking safes!

No worries!

BUT, unlike you, I leave my CAMERA in the truck.
I wouldn't want anything to happen to IT!

I wear mine when I'm washing and detailing my Harley's over the years and always concerned about the Rolex hitting and scratching my bike.

I have programed my Rolex brain to be aware of accidents with it like running it along a wall or banging it while working or wrenching. My Rolex goes with me but I am always aware of protecting it. Once in awhile it will stike it against something and it drives me nuts looking for damages.

One time with a new Sub in 1998 I dented the case deep and that hurt.

I was curious to see what kind of comments I'd get. Theres lots of people who couldnt fathom wearing their expensive watch in any type of situation that may scratch it/get it dirty. Glad to see I'm not the only one whos not afraid of the occasional scratch/blob of grease...As for the camera, I always bring my camera to the yard cause you never know what interesting thing you will find that you will never see again, I found a friends car today that we sent to the wreckers over a year ago, so I took some pics for her...

Idle Swede, I've been under the hood of both an '88 Silver Spur, and a newer Bentley Continental GT, and I must say, I'm certainly happy I dont work on them on a regular basis. I have to say though, the price of those cars is completely worth it just for the craftsmanship and detail that goes into the interiors, I didnt want to get out of either, the price of parts though, I nearly fainted...

I usually wear a cheap G-Shock any time I go somewhere where I'm going to have to haggle over price. Unless it's buying another watch.

Amen brother, Just the other day I dragged my rolex crystal across a painted concrete block wall and had to wipe off my watch and touch up the wall.
