I just ran across this thread. Would rolex change one of these vintage dials of the owner wanted a company logo removed?

Yes, at least a few years ago when I sent my Pool 5500 in for service, they offered to sell me a new dial but noted it wouldn't be the same.

I have learned that this P logo belongs to Pioneer Gas Products (later Pioneer Petroleum, eventually bought out by T Boone Pickens). Other Pioneer Gas award watches exist with the logo on the clasp instead of the dial.

Customizing a dial
Hi. Is there anyone who can put a logo on my existing dial now?

Is it possible that the WJ on the Nick Price dial is for Windsor Jewelers? Windsor is a large Rolex AD in Augusta, GA (Home of Augusta National).

"Those familiar with the Rolex Air King collection have likely browsed plenty of popular models. While a number of these references are common for collectors to have heard of it’s safe to say that fewer are familiar with the Domino’s Rolex, which isn’t a nickname coined because of a particular color or style, but rather the label given to Rolex watches made especially for the giant pizza chain." Super interesting and very informative read! |

Does anyone know what the criteria is for someone getting a unique logo or dial from Rolex? Do you have to be a big customer, buy in bulk or can anyone just request a special logo? thanks

It seems that practice was discontinued long ago. The final examples I can think of are "King of Bahrain" dials and "Nigerian Coat of Arms" dials from 2009 or so. |

Air-King14000 (Medicinal)
Was really green at first. I wear it all the time in the sun and the leaf is like a turquoise now.

Apparently 100 of these were made for Standard Liege (2009 Belgian football champions):
