I’d be very surprised if Oscar is selling a Uk supplied Le Mans here Paul. I suspect, but don’t know, it could be a grey import from overseas and/or a consignment sale.

So you are just guessing then

If it was regular production and easy to get I’d pass on it. I prefer YG pieces, when the John Mayer was announced I considered ordering it, that’s more along the lines of what I like in terms of aesthetics. At the time I was buying other stuff (Patek).

Certainly the Lemans has many things going for it.

This is quite possible. It’s still not a bad result if that is the case given the relative MSRP.

I remember trying the platinum when it first came out and was selling on here for significantly under MSRP. An easy pass at that time from the AD given I think it was significantly less here BNIB fully stickered.

Also to answer the accusations of me rooting for rare pieces to be rare, guilty as charged!

I actually do care in that I hope they don’t. So I actively hope that they make as few as possible.

Even if I don’t get one; I’m rooting for the collectors with the history to get this piece that it will be a “reward” piece for their collecting journey up to this point.

A recent example would be something like the AP Star Wheel. If I had the history at a boutique it’s well worth MSRP to me and I’d buy one; but it looks like AP is going to not make them to demand. Am I mad or bitter about that? No. I think it’s good for their brand and in particular the Code line to have in demand watches that “normal” people can’t get. The market demand versus supply is part of the watch.

Someone has to think of the people with 7 figure spend histories at their AD.

This one will probably stay $150++ in my opinion. It has a lot of interest and it works for everyone. All the big hitters will be asking for it and it will be prob easier to get a rainbow than this one.
Glad I’m not fiending for it.

I saw a Patek 5370P go at auction for ~120k recently. Show me a man wanting to pay 150 for this Daytona and I’ll show you an idiot.

If I’m honest and I was offered a Le Mans tonight for 150 I’d prob do it..

I love this.

If my AD texts me I’m buying it but I’d probably go with a gemset especially the sapphire ones.

I truly love your attitude, arbees319. It's incredibly admirable.

I may have paid more than necessary for a few of my watches, and that's perfectly fine. Life is too short to dwell on these things.
