15300 Blue dial shade

Hey guys

Got my AP15300, wondering if the dial isnt a deep blue as it should be.
Thoughts?

Are there variations on the shade of blue?

I'm no expert but it looks very light. Did you buy from a reputable dealer?

I've seen the 15300 in person and the blue is lighter than the 15202.

Congrats it looks OK, but can you take some more pics maybe in darker conditions?

Pic of all 3 ROs.

The shade of blue of your watch is a deeper blue compared to mine, the shade of blue on mine is more greyish

The 15300 on the AP official site has this shade of blue, you can see the difference in the comparison pic

Just wondering if anyone noticed a difference in the shade of blue before

For a start, never use watch images on manufacturer’s website, as the vast majority are computer generated renders!
Secondly, unless you’ve a calibrated display, and the photos being viewed were also taken and edited to the same calibration standard, you’re never going to see exactly what the photographer saw with his eyes.
Bottom line, each different model number’s blue is a different hue, so there’s no point comparing someone’s 15400 with your 300, or against a 202.

FWIW, it looks correct and not a fake, if that’s what’s on your mind.

Here's a pic of a 15300 blue dial. I would say it looks about the same as yours...

I remember I saw the 15300 blue before and indeed the blue colour is lighter. Your watch is fine IMO.

At the flick of a wrist that dial can change to every shade of blue imaginable so impossible to tell off a photo
Awesome watch

Many different shades depending on lighting, goes from a medium blue to almost black.

Looks like it should, but imho the blue hue of the 15300 is a let-down in real life.

15300 Blue dial shade

If you're looking for a blue which always "pops" you'd definitely be disappointed. The color is subtle and muted - IMO. However, in various lighting conditions the dial is much more varied vs black / white...

I like the change up from black, black and more black dials.

Looks right

Check my post "Two Royal Oaks". The blue looks the same to me. Be aware though that the blue dial on the 15202 is a different and darker shade of blue.

Yeap agree, mine is a similar blue and I always thought it was odd but believe the 15300 blue is a less "blue" than the other models

Indeed. What happened to me. Had a black dialed 15300 which I had the dial changed to Blue. That was a 1000 euro wright off! The Black dial was actually better than the Blue imho. It was such a big let down that I traded it on almost instantly. I really like the 15202, but with these colored AP dials, my recommendation to anyone thinking of buying one, see the watch in real life first. Still would like a blue 15202, but I won't buy it unseen.

Ouch. Sorry you decided to flip.

I still like the blue dial quite a bit on the 15300.
