Rolex models with no bracelets from Ebay

Since the prices from the used market have gone down.....I've been looking at black dial 40mm Exp 2s (ref 16570) on ebay (listings w/Authenticity Guaranteed only).....to keep the purchase price even lower, I'm focusing on models without bracelets, as I'm planning to add a nice premium brown leather strap (from Everest, Dangerous9straps, etc..) to it.....even if I bought one with a bracelet, I would swap it out for a leather one....

Using watchcharts as a guide, wondering how much should be discounted on models without the OEM bracelet....10, 20%?

I'd expect a £1500 discount on that model without a bracelet

Something like this. They sell for 2Kish on the used market and around 1100 from Rolex.

Id buy one on bracelet as it will only help your resale value down the road.

long term you'll come out ahead if you buy one with a bracelet and switch it out.

may be just me, but I'd be suspicious of a watch without a bracelet

This.

Depending on which model, I might take off the bracelet and put on a thick leather strap. Or a NATO.
But that's just me.

The bracelet would stay in the box, waiting for the next owner to enjoy.

Any discount without a bracelet will be nowhere near the actual value of that bracelet.

Naturally, if you just want a slightly cheaper watch, go for it, but it isn't going to be a "deal".
