THE "perfect" watch 5711 blue dial

I'm young, but..... after several watches that i owned....

My favourite still the 5711 (also 3700). Just perfect, proportions, elegance, class, presence, the unique character.....

I have to say that sometimes this perfection get me bored a little bit. As a human i get used to it... that's the only problem... i try to rotate it with other watches, but is not the same. My mind will always be with the 5711.

Tastes change. Sure. But for now is hard to wear something different.

A pic from today

Hopefully will get this or the 5712 as my next watch - along with my bluesey, the dial is captivating

Yes, the blue dial of the 5711P is above this one in beauty, I am only hoping that they will make a bluer dial soon and also put a metal frame on the date window, would be awesome.
I also love it as I ordered one which I should get in a few months, but I must say I find the 5712, which I now have, more interesting, but both are stunning

I'm on the wait list for the 5711 as well although, like lapince, find my 5712 a bit more interesting!

Combine the dial of the 5980 AR and the 5711 and you have THE perfect watch

It's not hard to force yourself to love the 5711, it's a beautiful watch. I hope to own one some day.

I wuold love to have both... But the platinum is TOO HEAVY, how can you wear such a watch? beautiful to handle.. but to wear....

I also really like the blue dial, stunning. But the regular one never get me bored.

Like all precious metals. I leave them for watches with straps.
Or small watches, like a 3800 in yellow gold blue dial that i LOVE to wear... Sometimes more than the nautilus !

Well it weighs 285 grams, like a AP chrono in gold on bracelet, the owner of one told me it was heavy but not so heavy that you felt uncomfortable with it.
In any case out of my price league, I ordered one watch in those price leagues, but custom made for me as a unique piece by one of the best watch makers in the world, will arrive in June, don't think I would have put the same kind of money into a 5711P...

Beautiful 5711. Me too never feel tired of the nautilus design and slim profile. Wear very comfortably on wrist.

Does a 5711P really weigh that much? That would make it about the same/slightly more than a platona!

That's way too heavy. Even a simple withe gold daytona with a bracelet is too heavy. I own one for a while... When you get used to comfortable watches those are hard to wear.

What are you going to take?

the message that i wrote was delete...don't know why

Probably is me, but i can't wear most of the modern sports watch in precious metals with bracelets. Too uncomfortable, i like to wear watches that you forget about them when wearing them.

I'm old fashion, 38mm is the perfect size for a sport/luxury watch.
A lean 40mm is the limit.

What are you going to take ?

today 5711

I've got to agree. Indeed the 5711 is "the" watch no matter what else you may own. Wish I could get my hands on one too. I'd even trade my beloved aquanaut if push came to shove.

I have been trying to see a blue dial Nautilus at ADs. Impossible task. I always liked it based on the photos but as of today it has officially become my dream watch. Saw one in the flesh for the first time, on someone's wrist in the office. So understated ... love it!

This is the kind of 5711 dial pics which made me get on the list for one, even though I have a 5712...

This one as well. I basically love the 5712 and it's my favorite, but the light and color are very different on the 5711 dial since there is much more surface than on the 5712, I think they can live together fine in a 5 watch collection...
