80's Advertising Pamphlet showing Rolex Submariner with Red Seconds Hand?
I found this old Rolex World of Yachting pamphlet which in itself is a very nice piece of literature from the early 80's I'd guess.
When closely inspecting the Submariner on the second page I noticed it had a red seconds hand. Now I am guessing that this must a 16800 as it has no WG surrounds on the dial. Got me thinking was this a precursor to the Yachtmaster and rather than just change a hand they decided to change the entire thing OR was it something that could be specified? I think it looks great and am strongly considering having the seconds hand on my 14060 replaced with a 16622 hand.
