Secondhand watch dealer in HK, Ken Watches?
Hello,
I am thinking of getting a second hand submariner tomorrow in Hong Kong. I have read some posts and there were positive comments for Ken Watches. However, some of the comments were dated and I want your up to date opinions. What were your experiences with Ken Watches? Are there any other second hand dealer you would recommend to me in HK? Thank you and your help is much appreciated. |

Ken's watches is a reputable HK watch store and Ken is a good guy. His website is updated quite regularly and so you can check inventory before going in.

My experience with Ken was horrible. First, he literally dropped my watch and then laughed about it. Then, he totally lowballed me on value. 30 minutes later, I sold the watch for 40% more than his offer

Take a look at their website and see if they have what you want, and call them for a price (most of their listings don't give a price). Then shop around. It's also worth trying Chrono24 and filtering to Hong Kong under Location, as there are quite a few sellers here that don't have Ken's street-level rents to pay, and offer lower prices. As Steve says, definitely not good if you're selling.
