Today I picked up a 5712R to wear on those rare days I'm not wearing my 5712 1A!

It feels superb on the wrist and I love the rubber strap on it.

The rosegold is a nice change from the yellow that I'm accustomed to wearing and the finishing on it is meticulous as expected.

I also love the weightyness of the case , relatively speaking in comparison to the steel version, and although it's top heavy it feels perfectly balanced on the wrist. When I saw this reference years ago I thought the polished end links were out of place, but I totally see why Patek went with them as they pay homage to the coveted nautilus bracelet.

Really happy with it but had the 'misfortune' of trying on a 5524R at the AD today and can't seem to shake it off. I mean I fell hard for it. A man should be able to leave an AD with a 5712r and be perfectly content!

I prefer the classier 12R so I wouldn't worry about it, just enjoy that great and rare pair you have!
