Big Pilot IWC accuracy

I have read / heard that the Big Pilots are commonly known to be inaccurate. Is this true? Is this just with the 5004 movement or did the 5009 fix those issues. I'd like to hear from BP owners past or present and if you had any issues positive or negative.

I love pilot watches and so far I have a Steinhart and a Laco Keil. I may end up just getting another Laco (a 45 mm A dial). But am still curious as to the accuracy of the BP considering its cost.

Thanks in advance

Interested as well because the IWC port's rep for inaccuracy has led me astray. Otherwise, lovely watches I do hope to own one someday either way.

I remember reading somewhere that there were some (not that widespread) issues with the 5002 which had the slow beat movement. Hence the change with the 5004 which I believe cleared the issues.
My 5004 has been great.

I had a 5002 slowbeat Big Pilot and accuracy was acceptable, it was averaging +6 sec/day.

I've owned 2 5004's and both were a bit off. It didn't bother me though because it's a badass watch!

I had a 5004 and it was +/- 3 seconds per day. Very acceptable. It's a great watch
