Icon10 Milgauss Love!

I know many here dislike the model, but I must defend it. What is there not to like? Other than the Sub, it offers the cleanest dial of any sports/tool models, the case is nice and thick, and the lume is super. In the perfect world, I would like to see a green crystal on the white dial, but one can only dream... Even if that never happens, the Milgauss has quickly become my favorite SS Rolex.

So, Milgauss owners, post some pics! Either Jocke-approved or iPhone quality, does not matter, let's just see them!

I'll start:

Milgauss

I have 4 Rolex watches and the Milgauss has become my favorite. I get more comment on it than my GMT, TT DJ, or Airking combined.

If the markers on the white dial version were a different color (blue maybe) it would probably be my favorite in their lineup. Or even if it was only a few like the GV. It's just a little too much for my taste. Otherwise, a beautiful piece.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing.

What's not to love...............that silly second hand first off. I had one and had to flip it, it drove me nuts. I spend $6850 on a GV and it came with a lightning bolt second hand, crazy.

If it had the straight second hand I would still own one, other than that they look very nice on the wrist. Nice pics by the way.

I hear you, but there's no 'perfect' Rolex. The key to being happy with one is finding a flaw you can live with. The second had - I can get over it :)

Interesting thought - I bet that would look very cool!

Actually, I am letting the White dial go - the GV is enough!

Nice pics Greg. I think that secon hand is too silly for my taste for the time being. Who knows tomorrow I might buy just for the sake of tht wird second hand.

Strange thing is, orange is probably my favorite color. It just doesn't work for me on that dial. Give that dial white hour markers and I'd be drooling for one.

what's the history again of the milgauss? i read it already somewhere here in the forum (?)... if i'm not mistaken, they already had the milgauss before and this is a "new" version? am i right?
i think it's one of those rolies, IMO, that grows on you... the more i look at it, the more i'm having second thoughts on what to save up for....

The 'other one' is from 1969 (1019 Milgauss).

Resistant to magnetic fields of up to 1000 Gauss, it was originally developed in 1950's for engineers and physicists exposed to extreme magnetic fields in their occupations.
