Need Opinion : GMT Sprite or Sub Bluesy (Based on my collection) ?

Hi folks ,

I need your opinion,

I currently have GMT rootbeer (126711CHNR) , Explorer II (226570) , and DJ41 TT in everose gold sundust dial (126301) , and I am about to pull the trigger for my next collection , and the options are : GMT Sprite (126720VTNR) or SUb Bluesy (126613LB) from my AD.

Fyi , the AD in my country ask every customer for minimum requirement purchase with another brands for certain amount to get the desireable Rolex models.
Here are the details :

For the GMT Sprite, the AD ask me to purchase additional items for minimum amount around $9,600 or more
And for the Sub Bluesy, the AD ask me to purchase additional item minimum amount around $3200 or more

And, I might sell the DJ41 TT Rosegold for additional financing to get one of those models.

Based on the situation above, which one do you recommend me to buy ?

Thanks and I really appreciate of your opinions and thought here :)

This one, but I’m biased … I’m not a fan of the GMT Sprite … and I think the Submariner “Bluesy” may be the / one of the best looking watches in the Rolex catalog.

Not sure what other brands you’re interested in (if any), but my recommendation is to bypass that AD and purchase from a non-AD. VTNR values are falling precipitously and secondary Bluesy prices are at retail+tax now.

I saw the vtnr yesterday when i collected my DD - epic watch yay - and i really dislike it and dont get it. Ialso like you have the rootbeer and the bluesy. I say bluesy and try and keep theDJ. Now my own collection is rounded id next look at JLC.

The sprite is perfect IMO. Prefer it over any other SS GMT, or SS/TT sub. My better half would say the BLNR is better. It’s all about your taste, your style, your eye and your wrist. No wrong answer here.

I prefer the bluesey but personally I’d add a steel sub to this collection. Green if you like it, black otherwise. Kind of depends on exp ii dial.

I personally don’t like the Lhd but if you do it’s a good option for something different.

Agreed. It is beautiful and becoming tempting on secondary market again! Love it.

It sounds like you're expanding your Rolex collection, how exciting! Considering the additional purchase requirements from the AD, the GMT Sprite would require a higher minimum amount compared to the Sub Bluesy. If you're comfortable with that, the GMT Sprite could be a unique addition to your collection. But if you prefer a more classic look, the Sub Bluesy might be the way to go. Ultimately, it depends on your personal taste and budget. Let us know what you decide.

Considering your collection, I'd go with the Bluesy option. The "premium" paid on top for the VTNR is just not worth it. I truly hope the extra cash spend on top of the Bluesy goes toward something you actually want.

Leaving aside the extra spend, the VTNR for me is miles ahead of the bluesy. That watch has never appealed to me. And you have a two tone already.

I’d take a VTNR.

It's a matter of preference, but I'd personally add the bluesy, not really a fan of Sprite.

No contest. 126613LB.

I don't see the point in having a left-handed watch. I'm right-handed.

The bluesy is the perfect companion to the rootbeer. And you dont have a sub. And the VTNR is my least favorite GMT. Easy decision for me.

Hey guys

Here is my final decision ,

Finally I pull the trigger to the Bluesy.

But I’m still interested in the VTNR , I really hope it won’t be discontinued by April 2024 .

Once again thank you so much for all of your opinions here

I have both the Sprite and the Bluesy and enjoy both a lot. If I had to pick one, I would keep the Sprite. Steel just fits my lifestyle better and I really like the GMT complication. I also find the GMT more comfortable to wear. It gets most of the wrist time. Both are super nice though. The Bluesy is a beautiful watch for sure!. Since you picked up the Bluesy, I would also get the Sprite. They are very different watches!. Congrats on your new watch!.
