Bob's Watches
Has anyone bought a Rolex from Bob's Watches in Huntington Beach, CA? Are they reputable? I found a very nice 2006 (Z serial) Sub with original box and papers for about $4000, I wonder if this is a legitimate place to buy a Rolex.
Any advice or suggestion is appreciated. Thanks. |

I did find a good review under who's who. Other then that, I'm not sure. I've been on their site a few times as well. Never purchased anything from them though.

Thanks all. I looked through the sale section here and didn't find anything that offers similar price for the Z series Sub. I heard DavidSW has great reputation (so is Oscar (BodyBump)) but the price is not really much cheaper than Bernard's Watches or Swiss-Wrist. Oscar offers better price on his watches but they are a bit older than DavidSW's. Bob's Watches so far has the best price for used Rolex, it also includes 1-year warranty on the used watch. The fact that it offers full refund and is A+ BBB accredited business may just sway me to try it there.

Hmmm, very low prices... In fact, suspiciously low prices. 2800 dollars for a V serial Explorer? 55 for a V serial GMT Ceramic, hmmm I would like some feedback on this.

I'm not familiar with them but they have an A rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Yes, it is one of the reasons I bought from them - they do have BBB rating of A and they are in fact much cheaper than even the favorite sellers on this forum. Stay tuned!

Can someone send me the link of the thread where the owner of Bob's Watches chimed in? I am curious as to what he says. Thanks.

Someone on this forum is currently selling a new GMT IIc for $6250, so for $5595 for the 2008 V series is not too farfetched?

Guys, the verdict is here!! I got my Rolex Z series Submariner today, in prestine condition for ~ $4000 from Bob's Watches.
All as described, including inner, outer boxes, warranty paper, booklets and tags, except missing the green tag. Here is a photo - sorry for the picture quality. If anyone has any concerns about Bob's Watches, please let me know. |
