38mm to me has always looked better, a subjective view I know. The thinner bezels just make for a better looking watch.

Beautiful watch.

One WatchBox episode had the young Govberg dude saying that he was removing all the Octa from inventory to allow the market to settle. That would make sense that sellers are storing them to see what happens to them.

Late to the game, but I will play

My grail watch for many years before I acquired her. One of the last 38mm CS before they switched to 40mm. It is interesting how the strap changes the look of this watch from a more formal looking dress time piece to a more casual cool laid back look.

Love it. You definitely can have a lot of fun with the straps, and there is an endless choice of colours available.

They are not like that, it is an illusion of the dial.

Nice photos! Is it just the angle of the photos or are there some slight differences on the finishing between the movements of the CS and the CB?

It’s the light and angle. They are the same on fishing but the decoration is slightly different.

Journe is quickly becoming my favorite brand of all time. The design is so quirky and yet so seemingly timeless. I can’t get over these watches. The hardest part is figuring out which to acquire.

Beautiful shots. The dials are striking, and the strap combinations look to be incredibly versatile.

Have Been noticing FS ads, at this time I can find only a single listing showing an original dial resonance.

Just a year ago there would be 20-40 or so available in all varieties... wondering what gives?

Speculations?

I’m assuming either:

1) hoarding by re-sellers , only to re-list at significantly higher prices once the new price of the new resonance sinks in.

Or

2) a wave of purchases by collectors fearful of rising prices or flippers looking to capitalize on #1

My conclusions as well.

I’m fascinated by the speed at which the stock evaporated...

Appears all are waiting for comps to creep up... No one wants to jump first?

I wasn’t following prices or stock- was majority from Watchbox? If so, they could easily just take them off the for sale site and hold them - they are big enough to afford to do that- as the largest re-seller of FPJ they can prob then roll them back out and be the market price setter.

Pretty sure a lot of these were just taken off the market temporarily.

A new Resonance is coming, so it makes sense, if you can afford it as a secondary market retailer, to wait and see.

Still a gamble, either way.

Especially considering the new Resonance will retail at $135k. The previous market prices, even within the $60-80 range, will seem like a bargain.

K2 had a beautiful brass one too recently for $53k! It was so nice.
