Thoughts on this 16750?

Hello everyone!

I got this beautiful 16750 offered recently, it is a 6,7M serial from 1981 with original matching bracelet (F). My doubts are regarding the dial and the hands. ¿Aren't this year GMTs supposed to come with matt dial?

Evrything elses seem to match, bracelet, movement, case...

Thank you so much in advance :)

You are correct. That would have been a matte dial originally. Looks like the dial and hands were all swapped with service parts.

Decent condition overall. Yes, service dial and likely service hands as well.

Post 2000 service dial and hands would wipe off about 35-40% off value imho.

Only buy if you like it (need working lume) and/or it is very, very cheap.

Be aware will be tricky to resell too as I'd say about 80% of potential 16750 buyers wouldn't consider it!

Congrats they are great watches - I have a 1987 16760 and I sourced a black and pepsi insert - boom you have 3 different looks - gotta be more careful doing it today, lots of non OEM inserts out there and the real deal is $$$ now - Austin over at "watch symposium" has done some good vids on this very topic, def worth a look.
