Daytona 116519 - There and back again with DAVIDSW!

Hi Guys,

5 months ago you witnessed what happened to my Slate Daytona (newbies click here: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...hlight=daytona ).

Today I'm proud to announce that with the help of DAVIDSW (always him!) i bought it again! Yes! I just close a deal to buy the exact same watch.

I flirted with the new ExpII, the new Ceramic Daytona... even the WG Sub. But it was inevitable, the Slate had my heart!

The hard part is to wait 4 months for the watch. (I have a Disney trip schedule for April!) ;-)

Thank you all for your support!

Here goes a picture:

Interesting question. Can you insure the daytona in South America? I bet it is EXPENSIVE.

Wow, I didn't see the original thread until now. You did the right thing by giving it up, stuff can be replaced......congrats on securing the new one from DavidSW!

Hey did you ever report your other one stolen? Did the police get back to you? Keep this one safe!

I'm talking to Lloyd's to insure the whole collection, jewelrly etc. But as other people here predicted insurance for this kind of stuff in Brazil is expensive as hell... around 5% of the price of the watch per year with a minimum of USD5000 per collection

Yes I did report stolen to the police and Rolex. Two months ago Rolex contacted me but it was to verify my address... You know, for 2 seconds you were able to see a smile. Hope never dies. ;-)

Glad to know it's back on your wrist my friend! Wear it in good health and I'm glad that incident that happened 5 months ago didn't end in a worst way!

If you ever got your old one back, I would keep it for good luck...even though having two of the same exact watches is pointless...good luck my friend
