Icon5 Date change on a Datejust

Hey, I bought my first Rolex a couple of weeks ago, it's a two tone datejust 16013.

I was watching it tonight as the time approached 12am, and for some reason it flicked the date from 27 to 28 at 11.59 and not 12. Obviously it's not a big deal, I was just wondering if this is on purpose or there is something wrong with the mechanism.

Sorry if this has been discussed before, couldn't find it on the forum, thanks in advance for any help, Will.
