Gold will oxidize or tarnish over time. It's not as noticible as silver, but it is the same reaction. Gold can also be "mixed" to achieve a slightly different shade, although I believe that Rolex is pretty consistent in their color matching. If a gold watch has not been buffed for a while, it will appear darker than a freshly buffed piece. Rose gold is distinctly more pink in color than yellow gold.. There won't be any difficulty telling the difference.. |
