I’ve been posting a lot less. Topics are not as interesting to me, and though I love Rolex, the market has gotten saturated with the same types of threads.
The sub brand threads don’t get too much traffic and the open discussion is not full of interesting things, to me.

Many have said that mom says if you don’t have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything. I’m rather in the middle of that sentiment between not having anything productive to add and saying something that may be considered rude because of my military jaded mindset and humor. I rather say nothing.

maybe people are posting less, myself included, as the topics are not as engaging?

maybe because of angry trolls? or because of the current state of affairs?

perhaps just in my head, but it seems there are only so many ways one can post "INCOMING", "my SA mentioned...", or "I did X to my Y...now what?" So it all sorta gets repetitive. Vintage forum has some good stuff, but even it's not safe from the all too common smartass replies that are a major turn-off (for me).

I’ve been doing less generally. I do try and congratulate people on their incoming and what not because I know the feeling and excitement, but so many threads now are just links to worthless opinion pieces about availability.

The ones that aren’t are will this watch be worth a million dollars after I wear it for a year type things…

It’s hard for me to click much less have much to say positive in those threads. I’ve gradually been moving more towards the open discussion forum.

I can’t be myself here without the worry of being banned….. snowflakes can’t handle the truth!

Really, since Blansky moved out of the wine country I’ve noticed a much more serious tone….

OP, I beg you to continue with teaching me more about watches!!! And still waiting for my room to be finished….?

I batch post.

I write my 20 comments a day, then sometimes I horde them and don’t let anyone see them and then BAM ….I release them all at once. Overwhelming force, to counter that Chewy hairball. After reading a bunch of his posts, I have to get the lint roller out and clean the hair off my computer.

As for that Rickles character, he sneaks up and kicks you in the shins and runs away for a week. He’s like a hockey puck that went over the boards. You think it’s gone and then when you’re skating by someone throws it at you from the stands and hits you in the teeth. Very sneaky.

Honestly, I miss way too many replies, cuts, comebacks, etc.

Then add in some short term memory loss, n' boom! Recipe for disaster....

The hospice care for my MIL in our home, does absorb or consume our lives at the moment. We are blessed to have the means to care for her in her last days!

Maybe, too much info.......

Yes, pretty tired of:

- What watch will make me the most money?
- Is my watch a fake?
- Which dial color should I buy?
- I hate AD's.
- I love my AD.
- Should I polish out this tiny mark?
- With my loupe, I see a dust spot. What should I do?
- MSRP or bust, that's my motto!
- Resellers are our friends.
- Resellers have ruined my hobby.
- Will it hurt my watch to play ....?

etc.

It depends on the moon phase. But the peanut butter thread definitely got my interest. Did you know Leslie Knope of P&R also likes peanut butter ice cream waffles?

Wait, that is TRF now! Without these threads what's left....talking about stupid watches

You're missing a few, I guess posting pictures of your flip flops is now a thing. I'm ready to start a new forum with more strict rules for banning people and or just shutting down these drivel for threads

I was asked to cut back. I was hurt at first, but then realized it’s probably for the better. I have to go now, before they find this one.
