First Incoming of 2017 :)
After a one year abstinence, I am pleased to have acquired this exceptional timepiece. A JLC Doumetre limited edition Chronograph in WG. Always admire and wanted a JLC Duometre to add to my collection as I considered them to be very special. So when the opportunity presents itself, it's hard to pass it up.
Here are some pics to share :   and the gorgeous movement in German silver.  First impression :- It's actually a relatively understated pieces with the white gold case but the movement is a beauty to behold, as nicely finished as any top brand out there. This manual wind mechanical watch is also a horological breakthrough when it was first launched, able to time up to 12 hours ( most can only do until 30 mins ) and have two separate barrels for power reserve, one for the time and one for the chronograph ( hence the Duometre name ) for improved timing accuracy as well as a jumping 1/6th second hand. No other chronograph movement ( at least as far as I know of ) are capable of this. It's also monopusher chronograph and the action is smooth and fluid. I especially enjoyed watching the chronograph in action, with both second hands and chronograph hand in action and a spinning jumping 1/6th second. It's a spectacle to behold.  If I have to nit-pick, I will say the polishing on the bezel could have been done better to make it more "shiny" ( aka Patek ) but I think this can be addressed during servicing. Special mention to my friend, Roger (Conkers) for facilitating the deal.  Glad to do business with you.
