Used Submariner
I am looking to purchase a Rolex. My local watch dealer is not an offical Rolex dealer but has several used LNIB models. He has a LNIB 2008 Submariner 16610 for 7,000$. What is the real value of this watch? What should be my asking purchase price?
Thank you |

I bought a 2006 16610 listed as mint with box and papers for $5300 a few months back from one of the trusted sellers on this forum. I certainly think you can find something for not much more than $6K. Is the version you're talking about the LV version or something, with the green bezel?

You'd be better off using a trusted seller here on TRF. Do your homework and buy the seller before buying the watch. Good luck.

7k is waaaaaay too much $5500-6300 (depending on condition and box and papers availability) would be the price range I'd be at.

Unless you don't want to bother with the trouble of finding a good deal, I wouldn't spend more than $6K. Like I said, I bought a mint 2006 with box and papers for $5300 this year from a trusted seller.

I bought this for $6800 out the door last month. Its from 2002-2003. For that much you should be looking at a tone tone either with the blue or black.

The Rolex forums.
Agree with others, I've RARELY ever seen them go for over $6k for stainless steel 16610s and if the seller is asking over $6k, I'd imagine the negotiated price comes down a bit. $5500 is a reasonably price for that model/year if in good condition with paperwork/box. That's just what it's worth in the market here. |

Definitely look to pick one up for under $6k. If your dealer wont meet you there, look to one of the trusted sellers on TRF.
