Icon7 New member with a new Sub!

Hello all. I'm new here but have had an affection for nice watches for a long time. I have always bought what I could afford at the time and tend to keep them. I started off ~10yrs ago with a Seiko automatic dive watch. From there to a Victorinox two tone and then a titanium Citizen Nighthawk AT. About a year ago I bought a watch that I fell in love with and will most likely never part with, a Ball Skindiver. Even before I bought my Seiko I always wanted a black Submariner date. Today, after writing what for me was a substantial check, I got that watch! It was a very long wait but completely worth it. I am in LOVE with this timepiece! I look forward to learning from all of you here and sharing our love of the finer things in life.

Welcome! I enjoyed your story. I reckon the moment in time when you decide you just HAVE to spend $6000 plus on a watch when you already have a good many of them that work perfectly and cost a maximum of about $1000 or less each, is the moment you just bought your first ROLEX and the moment you need to be a member here too! It actually does change your life if it was a long held dream that has come true. Well done!

Terrible photo I know but here are my two nicest pieces. You may notice that I haven't worn the Ball recently...
