Thoughts on Rolex for Women

Hi all! I just received my first Rolex, after waiting quite a while our AD offered me this DJ 31, TT YG/OS with Diamond bezel and markers. I know it’s mostly men on this forum but what do you all think of this size and configuration on me/for a woman in her late twenties? Do your wives/partners also collect and if so, what sizes/configurations do you like on them?

Thanks 💕

Congratulations.

If you think it looks good it does. You don't need anyone else's approval.

Enjoy.

I think the DJ31 two tone is the an amazing watch for women. My wife recently added the same model but with the fluted bezel and the olive green dial with diamonds at 6'oclock marker, she absolutely loves it. She also as a 34mm OP with the bright blue dial as well.

36 Datejusts are nice, but the sports range like Subs are also good.

First, welcome! The DJ 31 looks great on you, congrats! My wife does not "collect", and is perfectly happy with her DJ (26mm as she has very small wrists - she could wear a 28 or 31 mm, but doesn;t want the added weight). But buy and wear what you like. And just be aware that is a lot of bling that will get noticed, so, stay tuned to your surroundings and enjoy it.

Congratulations and it looks great on her.
My wife has 3 different watches currently and they are all 41mm and she occasionally wears my Sub or BLRO of course I need to remove links for her and they all look great on her.

Congratulations, that is a beautiful watch … MOP Dial / Diamonds / Two Tone … perfect.

That size looks good on you.

I’ve bought my girlfriend a 28mm, a 34mm, and am on the list to get her a 31mm. She’s petite, and all those sizes look good on her … the smaller a little more dressy, I think … the larger, a little more sporty.

I think you will be able to have fun with future purchases in different sizes.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your first Rolex

My wife is …. Wait … “what’s that honey? …. Right”. My wife is very petite, and she wears. Date 34 mm for a bit of an oversized look.

It’s hard to generalize, but the 31 is a nice in between size (28 being classic, 34-36 being larger). I think it looks great on you.

Looks good. My wife got a 31mm DateJust, stainless steel, smooth bezel, oyster two years ago. She wore it for a month, beat it up pretty good for a short time (teacher, kept banging it on desks), basically hasn't worn it since and went back to an Apple Watch. On a side note, I think you're nuts for wearing any jewelry beside the watch.

Congratulations and welcome. My wife has been up and down the size range for Rolex watches from a ladies 26mm YG Date Just to a 40mm Submariner. She has currently settled on a 36mm floral Date Just with a pink dial and a diamond bezel. Somehow we have gotten into Cartier Love Bracelets and she matches that with a Cartier Tank Must XL on a strap and a Cartier Ballon Blue on a bracelet. I like your current watch and think it will serve you well. On the Forum you will hear that there is always room for another watch. Enjoy.

Congrats on receiving your Rolex. i'd humbly suggest asking the wife if she prefers the 31 or 36mm size. My wife prefers 36mm as she said it is easier to read the time on it.

I think the 31 is a great size. Although, I am partial to the fluted bezel over the diamond bezel in this case. Enjoy it!

I think it's amazing OP! Good pick.

My wife has two 31mm DJs plus a 36mm. To her the color / metal matter more than the size when assembling an outfit.

Welcome and congratulations on your 1st Rolex. I think it looks great on you. I am a woman and wear anywhere from 36mm-40mm for Rolex. I have a 42mm Omega Speedy as well. It's more about your wrist size and what you like, not really man/woman.

Timeless, classic, feminine, and tasteful.

The size is perfect and it looks like a million bucks, congrats. Perhaps a more casual OP is next as an everyday wearer, would be a great combo when your mood feels a little less blingy.

I hope you make heaps of amazing memories whilst wearing your gorgeous DJ!

Welcome. My wife wears a 41mm datejust and loves it; she says it’s much easier to see the date.

If you like it and think it looks good, that’s the only opinion that matters

It does look good, BTW, but that’s just an opinion that doesn’t matter
