Advice on Red Sub

Dear Rolex Forums

This is my first thread. I’m a keen follower and reader of your forums.
Now I need your advice on my frist red sub.
A friend of mine is offering me this Sub for 13k CHF including matching box and service papers.
The serial number is in the 2.35 mio. range.

Therefore I don’t know if the dial is matching?

What`s your opinion?

Thanks in advance

are they two different watches or is it a photo of the same watch after a service?

All photos are of the same watch, with no service inbetween. The colour of the lume and the dial changes dramatically with different lighting, I tried to catch the details with sunlight and normal light.

Yes The dial looks fine, mk 1V and the serial number is around 1968; IMHO. Regards Paulie.

Thank you Paulie.
That's what I thought. Therefore 69 is a transition year when they changed from meeters first to feet first?

Any thoughts on the case? Is the cristal the orignal top hat?

2.35 Mill serial is not 68. rather most likely late 69, then a MKIV Dial is a bit out of range for that serial.... imho

also to echo @vannis7777 there is definitely some mickey mousing around between photos, ... just saying.
