Rubber strap for my 5167/1A

Hi Everybody
Just wondering to get a rubber strap for my 5167/1A that comes with a bracelet, so I can swap them anytime. Two different styles with the same watch.
Did anybody make that change? and if so, will the same clasp work in the rubber one?
Thanks to all of you

You'll need to get the rubber one with its own clasp. The clasps are not interchangeable.

Hello Antonio,

Assuming you're in DR here's a list of the nearest ADs. They should be able to assist you in sourcing the strap and clasp

I have both and like having the option. The only bummer is I think you need a different tool than a standard spring bar tool for changing the straps.

WOW, it always amazes me how many AD's there are in the world and only the Salon and 1 AD in France, and both in Paris, something is really wrong with that IMHO In London there i also a Salon, but they have a ton of AD's as well in GB, just amazing and incomprehensible...

It is absolutely amazing - UK has 40 AD's + Salon and France has 1 AD + Salon.
Germany has 42 AD's, Italy 38 and Spain 21.
445 AD's worldwide + 3 salons.

There appears to be no French distributor which might be the difference.

The number of AD's maybe puts some perspective on the number of pieces produced of any particular model - I assume the Salons get a higher allocation of pieces as they sit outside of the distributors control and get direct factory supply?

Turn your watch over and have a look at it. In 2 seconds flat, you’ll figure out what you need and how to do it.

Somehow I remember that strap and bracelet arenīt interchangeable on earlier 5167/1As so itīs probably better to check with an AD first.

May I ask how fitment with the rubber strap is achieved?

Cutting, then without any means to make the fitment larger

Scary. You have to be sure about it before cutting.

My problem is temperature change, with an ambient of 5C in winter, then 40C in the summer.

IIRC, the only bracelets, rubber or steel, that have micro-adjustment are JLC and Rolex.

Always better to cut bigger, try it on.. then keep shaving down until you get the right size.

Years ago I bought a brown rubber strap for mine at the PP service center in NY, it was like $250.

The clasp will be more expensive for sure.
