Scratch on Aqua Terra?

There is a vertical sliver that appears only when I shine a strong directional light from the sides of the watch (red circle). Based on multiple angles it almost looks like the sliver/crack is perpendicular to the face of the watch. Tried wiping it away but it is definitely staying.

Any idea if it is a legit scratch? It almost seems to be an imperfection in the crystal itself.

In normal light I can't even tell this crack/sliver exists. There are no signs of it on the surface.

Based on your written description, I would have guessed it's a scratch in the AR coating, which happen much easier than scratches to the crystal itself. I've had quite a few in various AR coated watches, and they all are hairline and only show up under certain lighting angles. However, that picture doesn't look like an AR scratch, but actually in the crystal. I suppose it could be an imperfection in the crystal, although something like that should have been weeded out by Omega's QC. How long have you had the watch, and when did you first notice it?

If you run your finger nail across can you feel it catch on it. That is how I tell if it is a scratch.

I first thought it was a scratch but it's weird how I can actually look down the length of the imperfection in 3D. I definitely cannot feel it with my finger/nails.

I've had the watch since August last year.

Maybe worth a visit to the boutique.
