Patek warranty transferable?

If you buy a Patek from a trusted seller and the watch is still within the warranty period, is that warranty transferable to a new owner? I.e. is there any penalty for not having your name on the warranty card?

i don't think there is and would be surprised if PP didn't honour a warranty because there was a change in ownership

Warranty follows the timepiece.

Patek warranty transferable?

The card says signed and stamped not clear if a blank customer name considered as "incomplete".

Blank papers are not valid. They have to have the original AD's stamp. But do they ask for the papers when going for warranty work?guess they would

Yes, PP service center will always ask for the certificate of origin upon receiving watch for service within the 2 years warranty.

I was able to get warranty service for my 5980 1R by sending a copy of the original certificate. I was the second owner.

Blank in my book w/o customer name obviously the AD part must be fully signed/stamped.

The guarantee is void if the certificate is incomplete. The absence of a purchasers name would qualify as incomplete in my reading of that.
