Royal Oak 15400 photos and question
Hello,
I would like to share my Royal Oak. I have been wanting an AP for 15 years, and I was finally able to pick one up. I am blown away, and I am already planning a few years out to add another AP! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Thank you everybody. I will continue to post photos in this thread. I am fortunate to be surrounded my amazing cars.
I did have one question...how come some 15400's have my style clasps with four screws in a square pattern, and some have the screws in a straight line and on the physical button? I noticed my serial number starts with I and some start with H. I believe AP changes the letter every 5 years. Is this why some if them vary in style of clasp? Thank you everybody!! Does anybody have a clue on what I posted in reference to the variation in clasps styles?
I always find myself staring at the craftsmanship on this piece. Stunning! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

You're correct — with the advent of the I serials, AP changed the clasp, and logo on dial.

See, the screws on your clasps are different. I don't have them on the pushers.
This is why I am concerned. Same I series...but the screws on our clasps are different. O_0 Should I be worried? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

H-serial and early I-Serial watches had the old screw pusher design.
AP replaced the old design with the newer solid pushers because the screws were always coming loose. If you ever lose a screw, AP will actually upgrade the entire clasp assembly for you. |

This...I have an I series that I got just this past March. Got it from my AD, fresh from AP. I have heard about the "issues" with the older design. Here's a pic of my I series, 2016 15400. |

I too feel fortunate to be an owner of such an awesome piece. Honestly, with my lifestyle/work, it's a perfect everyday watch...could easily wear it in any occasion. Such a joy to look at on the wrist and with all the angles, edges, the amazing dial, the unbelievable bracelet....it's a watch that has such depth and versatility. Congrats on your pick up and enjoy it! Nothing wrong with not being able to take it off. |

What's the best way everybody is cleaning their bracelets? I am currently using warm water and soap, massaging it around the piece and then using a hair dryer to dry everything off.
I am still finding that there are smudges etc. Is there a more efficient way or cleaner available? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

As you’re doing, only wipe gently with a suede microfiber cloth or satin type, like that used on opthalmic lenses – I prefer the former.
