Servicing in Miami vs. Istanbul
Hi
Both my and my wife's watches are in their 7th year since their purchase, where they both need to be serviced. I live in Istanbul, and I will be in Miami for 5 weeks in Summer. I am indecisive to have them serviced here, or in Miami. What would you reccommend to me, in terms of service quality, cost, speed etc.? Really looking forward for your input. Regards. |

On the Rolex website, they don't show any service centers in Turkey.
I'd do it in Miami. Notify them in advance of your coming and of your time restraints. This place is highly recommended: http://www.timecareinc.com/

If I am not mistaken, authorised dealers in Turkey are also licenced service centers.
I should mention that my brother in law lives in Geneva, so that might be another option for me to have them serviced. |

Surely you want a Rolex authorized shop to do it and not a random watchmaker? |

Don't believe the hype and don't rush into getting the first service of a new watch. If it's working ok just leave it.
The time between a brand new watch getting its first service and when its made can be very long. After you have it serviced for the first time it will need serviced more regularly. I've seen 20+ year old watches functioning perfectly with clean movements that have never been serviced. |
