Red tip?
I want to add a little color on my panda dial and was thinking of painting the tip of the sweep hand in red. Got the inspiration from a few pics out there but I realize that the tip of the speedy sweep hand is a bit longer. What do you guys think?
Here's a quickly crude mock-up. What do you guys think? |

I think it looks cool. I personally wouldn't do it though unless there was an original Omega part from another watch that fit. If you do go ahead and get it done as a custom job order another hand to have painted and also make sure the paint they use won't fade. The old Seamaster is the perfect example, I hated the way the red portions aged, from Orange to a worn out light yellow. It's amazing what a touch of red can do for the appeal of a watch though.

Thanks.. Yeah, I was originally concerned about the red paint fading if I did it myself. A little dash of color does look nice though.
