Rolex Chronograph. Pre-Daytona.
What do you think is this vintage 1950s chronograph worth.Well it just sold
for $26.300.00 and yes that is a standard period Valjoux 72 movement.

There’s so much verdigris on that dial it could be a Kermit forerunner. If I could afford to I don't think I'd part with that sort of money for it.

Wow that is nice looking, that would be cool to bring back some of those models, but with Rolex, forget about it!!
Why does the bracelet look BNIB compared to the rest of the watch, replacement perhaps?

Nope, not my cup of tea. Besides the apparent discololoration, there's too much case and not enough dial. The massive case just seems to overwhelm the face. Sorry, not worth $26K IMO. But clearly it was worth it to someone.

100% all original.funny if it had been redialled, would have only brought about 75%
of the price perhaps less.
