Have you actually read the that comment?

I have. The "S" means service replacement (crystal), so not original to the watch ......

Glad to know it's still there!!! I've stopped looking for that LEC since after my first Rolex 16600 SeaDweller.

I couldn't see mine until Sunshine pointed it out. I looked at it with a loupe, and saw nothing. I was looking at it straight on. I had to move it to the side so that it had a black dial brackground. It was blending with the lume marker at the 6 o'clock.

Two months of looking, and now I can see it pretty clear.

Actually, I found mine ... thanks for the "how to find it" info. This one is harder to see than my previous ones, but it's definitely there.

The best way for me to see it is the angle the crystal about 45" to the horizon and then tilt the dial so my eyes are looking from the 7 o'clock position. This gives me the best angle and also doesn't allow it to hide in the 6 o'clock stick on my sub-c.

You are SO RIGHT.! I could not find crown for ages, then I tried using my phone's LED flash light. Boom! There. So easy to spot it now. Thank you!

You can see a shadow of the LEC on the face in direct sunlight on my polar Explorer II. May not me as noticeable on a non-white face.
