Ideas on long PR watches that keep good time

Hi folks,

Keen to brainstorm some makes/models of long PR watches that keep good time. Need to be 5 days + PR and COSC like accuracy.

I already have something with a JLC 8 day and it is superb. Any other suggestions?

Greg

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms

120 hrs p/r (sometimes even goes a little longer). Mine runs a consistent +3, dropping to +2 or less if I rest it crown up at night (not that I always remember!)

When it does require winding, the 1315 movement is sensational... a creamy-smooth 108 turns from stopped to fully wound

IWC has a 7 day PR movement which is reputed to be a work of art (visual and mechanical). I have no experience with the accuracy, though. I believe they offer such a movement in the Big Pilot (where it premiered, I think), the Portugese and the Big Ingenieur.

RGM has a nice dressy 7 day.

The King of PR is the Lange 31 of course but it will cost you.

I am starting to like the thought of the BP...

Had a look at a JLC Reverso 8 days GMT today. It is a work of art.

I may have the cat by the tail, but generally the Pam 8 day movements have fairly large variations from what I have read and timekeeping can swing in roundabouts a bit.

From what I've read the IWC 7 days generally run +10 to +15 secs per day.

I am looking for something COSC-like.

Greg
My PAM 233 is running inside +1 sec/day, slightly better than my Rolex Sub-C.

Watch is for sale, although I would just take the money, go out & buy another one immediately.

If you have deep pockets and equally large wrists go for ALS Lange 31, as in 31 days PR

I looked at these a while back and quite honestly would love one if I had a hundy and change lying around. They need to make it out of SS to get the price down.

The 7-day Portuguese on my list for sure. Thinking of selling on my 1993 Jubilee Rose Gold though! I almost never wear it!

the IWC port 7days is a great watch although i've read some issues with regards to its accuracy (in-house movement).
BP FF is definitely a good catch!
PAM 270 or 233 would also be great though i'd choose 270 since its auto :D

PAM 233 or IWC Port 7 Day would be my choices.

I had a 233 and have the IWC Port 7 and both are great watches.
