Hi guys, this may be a stupid question but I'm looking for a perfect screwdriver for a Rolex bracelet... (116610) All the screw drivers I seem to buy are either slightly too big or slightly too small so after a while it damaged the screw head and a damaged screw head annoys the shit out of me!

I don't want to break the bank and buy a gen Rolex one so is there a perfect alternative?

Whatever with 1.6 mm blade (Bergeon, Flume, ... or noname).

Rolex hollow grinds their screwdrivers using a tool. This allows both sides of the blade to touch both walls in near parallel fashion this preventing the infamous bow tie.

Many watchmaker's use a wedge shape with approximately 8-16° angle, and then file or grind the tip so that it won't touch the bottom of the screw slot, ensuring it is evenly seated against both screw recess walls.

I would practice shaping blades until you can achieve this. Then, you won't chew up screw heads.
Any blades I have ever purchased or made have required periodic dressing, and adjustments between calibers.

The Rolex 2100 seadweller screwdriver is what I use. You can find it in the classifieds now and then but also buy it at an AD(at an extortionate price).

The screwdriver that came with my Panerai 111 also works well!

ill just file one down.. Idearly I want the 2100 driver, Iv seen them on eBay but like you say they are a horrendous price!

You can find the Horotec screwdriver and order the 1.6mm hollow ground blade tips, works perfect, and can be found on Otto Frei (OFREI) website.

FWIW: It's actually a 1.7mm hollow ground. So if your looking for a perfect fit, buy a 1.8 and hand file to a 1.7mm.
