I have a 1968 Tudor Oyster Prince. Rolex canada says no parts available. anyone have a source for good repair . I had a other Tudor Submariner that flooded when I was in ISrael. When i took it to the local rolex dealer he said givbe me the watch i'll be right back. Ten minutes later came back gave me the watch said send ot to Rolex. Years later after it sitting in my drawer, i gave it to a froend of mine who is a watch maker. He opened it, said "thats not the right movement in there, it had been switched.

So i need to find someone that can be trusted to repair this ols war hoerse of a watch

I have a Tudor Prince Oysterdate and I'm not sure of the year of it. It's my work beater keeps great time, just curious on the year of.
On the 12 o'clock end it has 7996/0 which should be model number?
On the 6 o'clock end we have the serial of 6427xx.
I have looked above and just don't see it listed..
Here's a pic.

A vintage Tudor I had...

I think it was a 1960's one but didn't note the ref number.

The calibre looks to me is 390 which was normally used for models from late 50's to late 60's. If you are able to find the serial number, you may refer to the following to estimate the production year. Hope it helps.

According to this 4-digit ref no. and the 16x,xxx serial number, I would estimate the watch to be from 50's.
