Not a Daytona fan, really don't get the paying over list for a SS Daytona. Like the GV Milgauss, but cannot deal with no date. No date sub, I don't get the "it's clean" argument, take the cyclops off.

The only thing that disappointed me was that it does not use the new Submariner adjustable clasp. To me, that is the greatest innovation and should be standard on every model.

Personally, I can't stand the YM II. Kind of wish they used a different name altogether, but to each their own.

Kind of have to agree, the Explorer models just don't seem to be very distinct to me. They are one of the few Rolex models (Tissot looking) that I wouldn't even care to look at twice.

Just not my thing, but congrats to those that do enjoy them.

The reason it's not such a good idea, is because we're talking about our least favorite when others of our group might actually happen to own these versions.
Wise words.

I don't see a point of someone disliking a Daytona I guess there is good taste and there is the other.

I'm wondering if those who don't like the YM and DSSD are the same guys who like the Sub LV. Because I don't really care for that watch but love my YM and DSSD!

To keep diplomatic & not offend anyone I'll word it like this; the last Rolex I would choose for myself would be the Rainbow Sapphire Daytona! Not for me thanks!

Yes, but for some reason the green crystal sort of redeems the lightning bolt hand, which I agree is the Milgauss' most unfortunate feature - maybe it makes it harder to see?

Padi, glad you said it. G-Shocks aside, I want the body of my watches to be exclusively metal.

DSSD is not something I would lust after.
Also the sky dweller. Maybe I'm just against change and it will grow on me but, if all were priced the same and we were choosing solely on looks, I would have an air king over a sky dweller.

Personally I think these threads are fine.

My watch has been mentioned but I don't care. Is there a watch in existence that everyone likes ? No.

Many people don't like the AP RO and I think it's perfect.

We're here because we are Rolex enthusiasts and I highly doubt reading somebody's negative opinion on our watch will change that.

I never cared for the Milgauss until I tried one on.....now I own the white dial version. I like the fact that its not that popular and you don't see a lot of them. I agree it's not one of Rolexs greatest accomplishments.

It seems that I upset at least one previous poster with my strong view on this, but as I said it is IMHO! I also note that I am not the only person with this view, I would be very surprised if anyone who owns a Leopard Daytona would frequent this forum, i'd be even more surprised if they were concerned with my views and would be completely shocked if they were a proper 'WIS' (Not that I am, I've still a lot to learn). Now i'll 'standby' for the flames!

The DSSD doesn't do anything for me either. I admire it as an engineering exercise and I like the aesthetics but not the size. It's too thick for me. I also wouldn't walk across the street for a Submariner. I've owned 4 over the years and even a 7928 but they're too common and bland for my taste. I enjoy the GMT Masters and the AirKing. I've hitched my wagon to these two models. Don't get me wrong, I love just about everything Rolex makes but I choose to wear these 2 models as my favorites.

Well, all this is IMO ofc... but Cellini if they count, Milgauss because of the toy like seconds hand, and I dont understand the love for SS black Rolex (any combo) either.
