Winding Rolex 114270
Good evening all.
I have what I think is a peculiar thing happening. I have timed the accuracy of my watch over the past 5 days. I wound 40 times on day 0 and have worn all but 8 hours when I sleep at night. I noticed around day 2 I saw an untick in the speed at witch my watch was gaining seconds. So I thought to wind 40 times again and it fixed the watch gaining the speed at which it gained seconds. Same phenomenon happened around day 4 and again, 40 winds brought back in line as far as accuracy. What does this sound like to you? Mainspring not holding the “charge”? Normally 3-4 seconds fast then around day 2 and day 4 was more in the 10 seconds plus fast per day |

10 seconds per day is not typical and most any Rolex can do better.
Winding it every couple of days isn't going to harm it, but it won't tell you if the auto wind is working unless you know it will continue to run nwithout this. Normally, to check timing, you would check the time with a valid source (not your computer or cell phone which update their time) once, then you would check again after those 5 days, and divide the variance by days to arrive at a daily variance number.

I am using the watch tracker app which tracks based off atomic clock.

Do what Tools said.
I run my tests for a five-day period. I get to use WWV's timing, though, as I have a shortwave radio. The longer the test, the more accurate will be the results. Make CERTAIN you fully wind the watch first (60 or so 'twists'), and then wear it the same amount <approximately is good> of time each day. Do not wind it further during the test period. And you should not have a 'lethargic' lifestyle' while wearing the watch as it may run down prematurely. I think you simply need to test it a bit more first. If the problem continues, seek out service for it.
