Ok here's the situation, this guy that i know is selling a DD and he states that its real.So in order to convince me he showed me the reference and serial number(Ref#1803, serial#1449908) are these number real or made up.

Yes, the #'s are real and dates the watch to 1969.

My DJ is #276**** and that is around 1969 so I can't see how #1432388 can be?

1963-64?

You're absolutely right pal, I looked to fast.

His is approx. 66- 67 and your #276 is most likely a 1971.

1971 starts with serial # 272 to 295.

Hi Leo,

I think it depends on which list you use for the date of the s/n.

Two lists that I have cross ref my #276 to 1969 and a #144 to 1963 but these lists are guides at best.

The model 1803 and the 1556 movement are a correct match so that is a good start but a quick check of the movement would be easy to do.

I only depend on Hannes list which as far as I'm concerned the only one to go by.

There are too many lists out there and none of them are the same.
