My Tudor shot with a new found funky technique!
So to get these I butted up a 50mm 1.8 to a 50mm 1.8 front to front and held them together with my hand.
I would have liked to get more DoF on the second but I dont feel like re-shooting tonight. |

Looking good, but wouldn't it be easier just to use a macro lens?

wow! You must have a pretty steady hand, my friend. Especially the first one is quite an achievement, provided the means employed. At any rate, the slightly blurry focus on the second one deserves to be overlooked, considering.
Anyhow, very resourceful idea! About the DoF, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself: for detail shots, such as these, there is no need for more Depth..imho. |

If I read this correctly you stuck 2 lenses together to get the shots?
I wouldn't have thought that in a million years! Fantastic!!! |

Mr. Taco:
I have a nifty 50 - f1.8 MKI that I love for picks of the grandkids.....never thought of using it for macro's. The 50MM is very clear and pure. I like what you've done though. A pick of my Grandaugter whick is one of my fave's and one of my Grandson For macros..sell one of the 50's and get a 100MM f2.8....with a steady hand you will be doing these. (and I'm not there yet on Macro's) |
