Pawn shop rip-off (the hand is quicker than the eye)
This guy goes into a pawn shop with both a real and fake rolex. He shows the lady the real one, and just before he gets paid for it, switches it out with the fake one in his other hand.

I always wonder what these clever individuals would be able to accomplish if they put their talents to good use ...

We had 2 women working together that stole over $1K in gold chains in a similar type sleight of hand robbery in my jewelry store.

Haha more likely the sales assistant got scammed, then the boss discovered the rip off so she said it must have been a switch ROFL. Old saying that if something seems too good to be true it probably is har har har lol

Uses his real name and finger prints? How has he not been caught?

What's the end goal ? I mean, either he is strung out or on his way south. I just don't get it..It's like people robbing a bank or shooting someone, you are going to get caught so what is the point.

Saw this one a couple weeks ago... it was amateur hour at the Pawn Shop. This should be part of any sales associate training. Once a real timepiece is validated and an offer made, it can't go back into the hands of the customer, or, it has to be rechecked/validated again. Expensive lesson, but these scams always have a simple counter move if procedures are followed. Still, pretty brazen.

Foolish. CCTV is very inexpensive and good in the digital age. Post-haste to capture. Thieves disgust me.
