BLNR owners: how much attention do you get?
I've been debating between the TT bluesy and the BLNR lately. I know the TT Bluesy gets a lot of attention due to the mix of the gold and bright blue dial but I was wondering if the BLNR gets just as much attention.
I'm not looking for something that screams "look at me" but I do want to get a watch that's noticeable. Would the BLNR do the job? |

I have owned a Bluesy, I don't now but IMHO TT's are definitely more noticeable than stainless watches. Regardless of the PCLS on the BLNR I think it is still lower key than the Bluesy or any TT. The 116613LB is a beautiful watch no getting around that, if you are looking for something the attracts a little more attention that could be the one for you.

Hate to break it to you but neither will get much attention. Remember people wear huge invicta and gold michael kors....

I've owned both and still own the Bluesy. The Bluesy has never gotten a comment nor did the BLNR. Buy the one you like better.

The only time anyone has noticed my BLNR was the manager of an AD with whom I was negotiating a deal and he was wearing one too. Otherwise, nobody has ever said anything about it
Buy whichever one you like |

I own a a DayDate, DateJust, BLNR, and a couple of Pateks. I did get an admiring comment on my Patek Nautilus. It was from the Burger King drive through guy.
Most people don't notice watches unless they are ultra bling things. Then, they are thinking tacky. My opinion is that a gentleman's jewelry should not draw attention. |

"Bluesy" is definitely more noticable, but as others have said neither one is going to draw significant attention from the average person. WIS, other owners, gold diggers, and nefarious types perhaps, but the average joe doesn't care.

Never a comment on my BLNR. I was worried the PCLs would be too showy, but definitely not the case compared to some fashion watches out there.

Like others have mentioned, buy the one you like most, then start saving for the other one.
Never received a single comment while wearing the BLNR. |

Ok I'm curious, why would one want to get attention from a watch? What's the appeal?
My BLNR has had 1 or 2 comments from fellow aviators, but that's it. |

I'm not surprised by the lack of attention noted here. Lots of people wear 52 mm Invictas with shiny gold plating. Lots more blingy than a BLNR.

I think the bluesy is more noticeable, IMO.
So get that one if that's your goal. I have a BLRO and I can't say as anyone's ever noticed it....except here on TRF. Which is the way I like it. |

My BLNR has garnered maybe two comments in 3+ years, both from watch salesmen. Interestingly, one was from a salesman in a Heathrow AD who at first thought it was a Sub.

Sounds like the BLNR would work better for you. Its one hot watch and under the radar to those not in the know.
IMHO, the TT will get you more attention. In the end, there is no wrong choice here. Two winners.

No one ever pays attention to what watch I'm wearing.
Perhaps it's because it's not a YG or RG bracelet? :) If it's anything SS colored (SS, Platinum, WG), no one seems to care. |

Whether people will notice hard to say. For me, even I see a nice watch, I won't comment because I am not sure whether the wearer likes it.
The conclusion is No Comment not equal to unnoticed. The most important is to buy what you want. |

I believe no one else except myself in the wild has ever noticed what I am wearing. However, two of my colleagues (also WIS) have ever talked about watches with me and made comments on my BLNR certainly.
